Misun - "Met You" (Ft Sammy Bananas) PREMIER! & (Another) Ticket Giveaway!

(Nacey, Misun, William DeVon)
This past July, Washington DC was introduced to the three piece multi faceted band known as Misun. The band includes singer/songwriter Misun Wojcik, DPC's own William DeVon (guitar), and D.C. hero Nacey (producer/keys). Their EP “The Sea” was released July 17, 2012 on T&A Records and was quickly featured on a number of blogs including leaks from RCRDLBL and The Fader. The EP is a refreshing summer breeze of synth/"aqua" wave goodness. Misun's vocals carry a timeless sultry and soulful energy that blend blissfully to the bands arrangements. Not long after the EP, they released “The Sea Remixes” featuring a slew of remixes touching a wide range EDM genres:

A personal favorite (with self-admitted bias), comes from William DeVon. His interpretation of "Coffee" is a synth fueled mood setter. I'm calling it now, "Coffee" will be this band's staple.

Garnering notoriety quickly, the trio made their live debut at U Street Music Hall where they opened up for label head Tittsworth. Here's a little taste of what you regrettably missed:

I still get goosebumps from this...

If you missed the show, fret not. Misun is playing this Friday September 28th at the Black Cat (Mainstage) opening up for Ra Ra Rasputin’s 5 year anniversary show. Word is (and why this DPC worthy) that the band plans switch things up from their typical head nodding blissfull style to dance party mode. SOLD. We're expecting a sweaty electronic indie-dance night, featuring all new stuff from Misun. Not mention quality performances from  Miyzaki, and headliners Ra Ra Rasputin.

Misun is currently working on their second EP and have been releasing new music on the regular since their highly praised debut, including this fresh and edgy rock tune “Sharpshooter”.

And today, they released the start of their new dance new wave sound with the premier of “Met You” featuring Sammy Bananas (Fools Gold Records) on the sax! Ears open for the sexy sax solo, synth bass, enchanting lead, body moving rhythm, and of course the lovely Ms. Misun's delightful vocals/lyrics.

To celebrate the success of the band and the premier of their new single, DPC wants to give you all the opportunity to win some FREE tickets to the show on Friday...

There are two ways to enter.
