Craze – Dance Alone Promo Mix

I've got something a little different for you all today. I'm diggin' it; I think you will too.

This mix comes from DJ Craze. What's so different about this one? Well, Craze is a turntablist; an extraordinary one at that. He's the only person to win the DMC World DJ Championship 3 times in a row.

Yeah, "skillz", he has them.

Well lucky for us, he's decided to show them off on a promo mix in support of his recently released Dance Alone EP (Ft. Wreckonize). I had a chance to listen to it recently and was feeling the tracks on. Here's a video of the title song:

The tracks are a bit "clubby" but definitely enjoyable. I really liked "Love No More", which is included in the mix below. Here's another track from the EP. It's an extra bouncy remix of Dance Alone by Codes (Downloand courtesy of Media Contender).

Alright, let's jump into it! There's a lot going on in this thing. Craze shows off his versatility in DJ skills and track selection. Off the back, listen for his primo cuts, scratches, and one-shots. He gets particularly busy around 14 minute mark and over "Blowing Up". Craze is a turntablist and he's not afraid to show it off. Most of it adds to the mix. I was into the on-fly-loops, special effects, and etc; but the name drops started to get a little cheesy after a while.

The tracks are mainly House oriented and super bouncy. There are some treats scattered throughout the mix; such as Chromeo's When The Night Falls (Hercules & Love Affair Remix) and some Treasure Fingers and Codes collaborations. Oh, and Rogerseventytwo's Take Me Higher was welcomed inclusion. I was also very impressed by Craze's track, Love No More, as I mentioned early. It's a House track with plenty of bounce and a very soulful Disco flavor. 

This one is  "Friday Wake-The-F-Up" appropriate. Play it now to do just that and run it back a few times while you get into whatever debauchery that awaits you this evening. Enjoy!...(and Bounce!)
