If you’re not a Soundcloud stalker like myself, and missed Mickey’s August Mixtape, do not worry…DPC has you covered! Posted this past Friday, it kicks off with some funky disco-house fun, but quickly shifts to the darker side of things. Deep and synthy bass lines comprise most the tracks, while housey hats and snares drive the mix. You’ll hear some familiar jams in this one as Mickey grabs a number of recent summer dance floor bangers. Poolside’s “Harvest Moon”, Benoit & Sergio’s “Everybody”, Jeremy Glen’s “New Life”, and a new favorite of mine, Matias Aguayo’s “Dance Machine” (for a number of reasons) are definitely highlights of the deep and dark mix.
