After The Jump...
DEMF has been held in Hart Plaza in Detroit during Memorial Day Weekend every year since its inception in 2000. Although the name and management have been tweaked throughout the years, the festival still holds true to its electronic roots. It was estimated that in the each of the first few years DEMF was held, over a million people attended over the three day span. Attendance began decreasing in 2003, and fell to under 100,000 in 2005. Since 2008, the festival has begun to gain steam again with attendance nearing 100,000 last year. This year is looks like it will maintain that trend. Between the actual festival and the after parties, there is going to be an incredible amount of excellent music drawing people from all over the world.
We are going to dance until we drop.
